NACHO BOOTH AT THE FAIR - August 12-16, 2026
Team up with other volunteers to build Nacho orders, keep food stocked, or serve soda and water. On-site training will be provided, but if you have ever made a plate of nachos, you can do this!
Volunteers will get a free ticket for entrance to the County Fair for each day of volunteering, so you can enjoy the fair before or after your shift. And, of course, free yummy nachos!
Get moving for a great cause September 26, 2026
Dance for a Cause is a fun, all-levels dance class led by Aimee Retzler, benefiting the Nevada County Emergency Fund. No dance experience is needed—just come ready to have fun and support neighbors facing unexpected financial hardships. A suggested donation of $25 helps provide one-time assistance to local families working to overcome life's unexpected challenges.

We will be presenting the Buddy Evacuation Team Program as part of the Sierra Gold Community Senior Center’s educational series from 1:00–2:30 PM at the Sierra Gold Community Senior Center, 231 Colfax Ave, Grass Valley, CA 95945.
Wine Tasting October 18, 2025
Enjoy an afternoon of tasting and learning about top-quality wines with Jim Allen, creator of 83 vines. Plenty of light appetizers. All wines are available to order. Proceeds go to the School Pantry Program.

It's time to get ready for Day of Action! This year we have 4 different projects from 4 local community-based organizations - the Food Bank of Nevada County, FREED Center of Independent Living, Hospitality House and Sundance Horse Rescue and Santuary.
