The 2021-2022 United Way of Nevada County (UWNC) Partner Application will be available for current UWNC Partners and local nonprofits next year. 

United Way of Nevada County Partner Requirements & Benefits

                                     UNITED WAY PARTNER BENEFITS

To be considered a UWNC Partner, your organization must meet the following requirements: 

1. Be an established 501(c)3 non-profit providing Health & Human Services in Nevada County for at least three years with at least two years of financial records (IRS Tax Form 990).
2. Have a written policy of non-discrimination and provide services to clients/customers, staff, volunteers, board members and the public without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, or ancestry.
3. Be in good standing with the California State Registry of Charitable Trusts to operate or solicit for charitable purposes in California. Go here to check your status. 
4. Maintain a General Liability Insurance Policy covering all operations conducted by the organization with a combined single limit of not less than one million dollars per occurrence. 
5. Agree to abide by the United Way of Nevada County Partner Criteria & Responsibilities Policy.

An organization that is not in compliance with the registration and reporting requirements listed above will not be accepted as a United Way of Nevada County Partner until the organization is in good standing. United Way may also review the financial health of an organization as part of the review process.
