United Way realized there was a need for a food distribution on the weekend, and filled that gap.

Every day in Nevada County, 40 or more homeless teenagers attend high school. United Way of Nevada County in cooperation with InterFaith Food Ministry, Food Bank of Nevada County and others, have established the county’s first food pantry on a high school campus. Click below to find out more.
Health care is a vital basic need for everyone in our community. For that reason, United Way collaborated with California CareForce to bring free medical, dental and vision services to Nevada County in early January 2020. It was a very successful event. We hope to host another clinic in the future.

This will be our 12th annual local Day of Action. Volunteers will help nonprofits with projects needed to help them do their important work in our community.
