United Way Sponsored Programs

United Way of Nevada County supports programs that benefit members of our community in many ways. We are very proud to serve the community not only through fund raising for our non-profit partners, but also by providing these beneficial programs.

United Way of Nevada County, in collaboration with Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) and the Food Bank of Nevada County, recently initiated a new food distribution program. For those who work during the week, and are unable to get much-needed supplemental food at local food pantries, this new program will distribute food on the second Saturday of each month at Interfaith Food Ministry. United Way strives to assure that individuals and families in Nevada County are able to meet their basic need for food, emergency shelter, and health care. Learn more. Share the Warmth. Our annual collection drive for items to be distributed to those in need begins in November every year. United Way of Nevada County joins together with support organizations in western Nevada County including Sierra Roots, Hospitality House and Divine Spark to collect to distribute items to those who need them the most. With your help, new socks, warm hats, and gloves are donated to those in need. Check back in November 2018 for locations (other than the United Way office) to drop off items.
